Imagine taking a workshop by the man who walks into executive meetings and shuts off the lights just to “remind everyone who keeps the lights on around here.” That same man fathered one of the greatest living entertainers and the Queen whose enjoying “A Seat at the Table”.

Matthew Knowles will be presenting at the 2017 North Carolina Fatherhood Conference at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center RTP. Oscar and Grammy Award Winner, Actor, and Film Producer Common will also present as the keynote speaker.

Knowles, who recently dispelled rumors that he wasn’t invited to Beyoncé’s delivery room, will be presenting a workshop titled, “Fathering an Achiever,” while fathers in attendance will have the opportunity to lunch with Common.

“[We] believe in celebrating and supporting fathers who do show up and are present in the lives of their children. Oftentimes in the media, these stories are never shared,” said Cherry Webb, executive assistant to Kim Best, Executive Director of the Family Resource Center-South Atlantic.

On why Common & Matthew Knowles:

“The fatherhood conference is planned FOR  dads… BY dads. Common, who is a dad himself, is a highly regarded entertainer/ rapper who’s body of work speaks to many issues experienced by most black men. Mathew is primarily responsible for the overwhelming success of Destinys Child, and unparalleled fame of the greatest female entertainer in the world, Beyoncé.”

The conference will also feature workshops by Radio One on-air personality, Dion “Showtime” Chavis, and many others.
